Ingredients

60ml No.1 Aquavit
15ml dry vermouth (more if you prefer a wetter martini)
Orange peel ribbon

Method

Dry Martini:

  • Measure dry vermouth into a shaker or mixing glass filled with ice.
  • Stir until painfully cold.
  • Strain off liquid, but make sure to keep vermouth-coated ice.
  • Measure aquavit over said ice.
  • Stir until ice cold.
  • Double strain into a chilled martini glass.
  • Squeeze the peel over the cocktail to impart citrus oils.
  • Twist the peel, and add to the cocktail as a garnish.

Wet Martini:

  • Measure dry vermouth and aquavit into a shaker or mixing glass filled with ice
  • Stir until painfully cold
  • Double strain into a chilled martini glass.
  • Squeeze the peel over the cocktail to impart citrus oils.
  • Twist the peel, and add to the cocktail as a garnish.
