60ml No.1 Aquavit
15ml dry vermouth (more if you prefer a wetter martini)
Orange peel ribbon
Method
Dry Martini:
- Measure dry vermouth into a shaker or mixing glass filled with ice.
- Stir until painfully cold.
- Strain off liquid, but make sure to keep vermouth-coated ice.
- Measure aquavit over said ice.
- Stir until ice cold.
- Double strain into a chilled martini glass.
- Squeeze the peel over the cocktail to impart citrus oils.
- Twist the peel, and add to the cocktail as a garnish.
Wet Martini:
- Measure dry vermouth and aquavit into a shaker or mixing glass filled with ice
- Stir until painfully cold
- Double strain into a chilled martini glass.
